| So in the fall of last year SZ came to Colorado and tuned my car. During which they kept hearing some type of knock. Of course I was concerned about it, but still did a track day and a couple of cruises. That's pretty much all I drove it, and a little after that when I was changing the oil my heart sank into my stomach as I watched the silverish stream of oil sparkle at me drain my car. The description that comes to mind is something like mixing metallic paint. I finally got around to pulling the motor and this is what I found. First up the oil pan with a metallic finish:
 Here is my primary concern. One of my main bearings has groves in it that my fingernail catches in:
 
What do you guys think? Should I get another crank and keep the stock bearing sizes. Or should I get my crank machined and start playing with difference bearing sizes? I was also wondering since I have 88mm pistons now, if I had to bore the cylinders again would I need to get my heads machined for the piston clearance if I went with 88.5mm pistons?
